Joshua's 1st Birthday is March 4th.

Joshua turns 1 year old! This is a very late attempt to post a bunch of videos of Joshua as he is turning 1 year old this week! What a wonderful year with this little boy and here are some of the best moments we captured: Joshua was trying to talk with our good friends Aidan and Katherine:

Samuel is turning 5!

We need a place to document all of the great videos we've taken of Samuel to this point. So I'm going to try to post something here for family and friends to see.

Bedtime story ... reading the "Big book"

Each night as we read a book he's starting to learn the words to his favorite books. And now his favorite book is "The Hungry Caterpillar." Last night he was too much fun giving his version of the story as we read.

Enjoying Lincoln Square

We got our first taste of spring time as we visited the Lincoln Square fountain this Saturday night.

Chip Dance

So we had a call with Grandma Jane and Sam entertained us as he ate chips. He broke into a "chip dance" and then when we wanted to get him to talk with Grandma he just wouldn't go for it. So Grandma Jane - this video will have to suffice for a conversation.

Can't believe it has been one year! Samuel is such a great little boy and we couldn't be more thankful for him.

Today we went to get some professional photos but I had to post this photo because Kristi took this photo and did a great job. You can see more of these on our flickr account which is linked on the right-hand side of the blog.

Thanks to all our family and friends who sent cards and messages! We love you all!

Sam is Walking!!!

Everyone tells us that our world will change once Sam starts walking ... well we'll soon find out because he's walking!

Going to be a record snow - first signs!

We just woke up to a huge blanket of snow. May be the biggest snow in DC in years!

Watching Momma Run

Samuel is learning that Momma loves to run and today she got to run in a local 10K. The race literally came by our house Sam got to cheer for Mom.

Great time in Arkansas pt1 - Matt & Beth

We had a great time seeing Matt, Beth and little Nate.

Uncle Paul and Uncle Mike

Before we left for our summer vacation to Arkansas Kristi has a chance to catch up with Uncle Paul while he was visiting Phil and Sue and also Uncle Mike as he was visiting Grandma C.

Sam loves water!

Kristi and I had a blast taking Samuel to the pool the first weekend in July. We weren't sure if he would enjoy the cold water - he loves his baths but we didn't know until we put him in the water that he would love it.
